Today's Goals

They are small, but I want meetable goals. And I need to put them out there so I achieve them. The diss is here, but I am lying awake at night worrying about some other stuff, so I will attend to that, too.

So, here are the goals, in order of attack:

1. Finish section I was writing last night, looking at travelers vs. tourists and their document needs

2. write brief section justifying a text-based project, using & responding to McGregor.

3. finish features list for Moon

4. business (WAAAAAAAAAAHH!!! I hate accounting!)

5. laundry (already in process, I do like clean clothes!)

6. vaccuum (because my floor is icky!)

ETA: updating list, to show myself & other procrastinators that progress can be made. And to add item:

7. move horses back to correct field, fill water troughs (mom is out, I get barn duty).

Ok, to the trenches!

Wish me focus and luck!

Luck! I have things I need to attend to, as well, but have been procrastinating endlessly. Hope you don't mind if I take your example, at least in spirit, to get myself motivated. :)

Thx! and no prob- luck to you too! I know all about procrastination and motivation issues. . . . I find stating goals publically makes it that harder to backslide on them. So I set attainable goals, and then do my damndest to achieve them and feel good at the end of the day.

I like lists : )

I think a lot of us will be following this worthy example. I could very well see myself on a "Procrastination Poster Girl" banner! :)

hi

Hi! I just recently began posting on LJ, and noticed that we have some common interests, one of those being horses! I have 4 myself, 2 Arabians, a Thoroughbred, and a Hanoverian. I will have pictures of them up soon.

I would love to hear about your experiences with natural horsemanship...I am taking my Hanoverian, who is 4, to a Parelli clinic in September.

Would you mind if I added you to my friends list? I am not quite sure what the etiquette is!

I hope to talk with you more!

Nice to meet you! add away! and I shall do the same.

I have many good things to say about natural horsemanship. And a few caveats. I look forward to talking to you all about it. And hearing about your Parelli experience!

Or not.

business component wound up being wholly unproductive - as ya know, got way stressed. And perspective helped, and i got a bit done, but ye ole hormones were talking. Not a good combo. Much calmer about whole sitch- not as dire as I thought. But still, I have decided will deal with tomorrow AM, which is my productive, good thinking time. I need to get this shit dealt with. THen, I am going to stay on top of it. I *AM* dammit!

But the laundry is DONE. Just need to make my bed.

And i had a LOVELY ride on Beau tonight. He is so centered that he totally centered me. So different from Shaughns, who is all firecracker -- which I also love. Depends on my mood who I feel like riding. And Joey is all pushy but fairly sensible. And Juno is nervous energy - compress it in a good way, the results are amazing, but they can also be explosive!!

Anyhow, gonna go make bed, have bath, and crash now.
