[identity profile] raithen.livejournal.com 2006-03-22 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I tend to agree that lambs have cornered the cuteness market ;).

roly is suffering from inflamed babyanimalphotitis!

more cutes!!! the babies are so sweet! and they have long tails! i thot all sheep had bobtails! cassie is so pretty and miss mew looks like our luna but with white toes! why is your face always away from the camera i want to see YOU to! xoxoxo from boo

[identity profile] raithen.livejournal.com 2006-03-22 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
sheep are born with long tails, but they need to be bobbed so the sheep don't get sick from dirt as they get older. We do this by putting a special elastic on their tails at the right level, right after they are born. It hurts a little, but they get over it really quickly. And then, in a few weeks, the part of the tail below the elastic just atrophies and falls off.

Baby lambies! *dies fo the cuteness*

[identity profile] aka-becker.livejournal.com 2006-03-22 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Very cute, though at the same time, blood covered baby lambs are also a bit disturbing. ;)

And that's a fat cat. ;)

Between the lamb pics and the puppy pics, you and meeby are killin' me!

P.S. I also did not know that sheep are born with long tails. Learn something new every day...
